Our Acute Care Splinting course provides information on the treatment choices needed in managing selected musculoskeletal injures. While acute care splints are commonly applied for the initial treatment of fractures or dislocations, they are also used to decrease the spread of infection, and immobilize tendon injuries or complex lacerations.

This course includes five video lectures - Long Arm Posterior Splint, Low Leg Sugar Tong and Posterior Splint, Arm Sugar Tong Splint, Thumb Spica Splint and Volar Wrist Splint.
